PR18-5AC Photoelectric Switch Product Description
The PR18-5AC is an inductive proximity switch featuring a cylindrical housing (18mm diameter) with reliable detection performance and cost-effective design. Utilizing electromagnetic induction technology, it enables non-contact detection of metal objects within a 5mm sensing range. The built-in red LED indicator provides visual operation status feedback, while reverse polarity protection and overcurrent protection enhance durability. With IP67 protection rating, it resists dust, oil contamination, and temporary immersion, making it suitable for industrial applications such as automated production lines, material handling systems, and CNC machine positioning.
Key advantages include extended service life (no mechanical wear), high response frequency (50Hz), and easy installation via threaded mounting. Compatible with 12-24V DC power supply, it supports normally closed (NC) output mode and can directly drive loads below 200mA.
