English Introduction
The VM-82 portable digital vibration meter is a high-precision measuring instrument produced by RION, a Japanese company. This device, weighing only 320 grams, is an improved version of the VM-63 vibration meter and features a separated vibration sensor design. It is capable of measuring both minute and strong vibrations, covering vibration displacement, velocity (severity), and acceleration of mechanical equipment. The VM-82 can store data from 1000 measurement points and communicate with a microcomputer. The accompanying software offers functions such as information management, communication between the instrument and the microcomputer, trend analysis, report printing, and status judgment.
The VM-82 portable digital vibration meter has a wide range of measurement capabilities. For acceleration, it covers 0.02～200m/s² equivalent peak 1Hz～5kHz; for velocity, it measures 0.3～1000mm/s RMS 3Hz～1kHz and 0.1～1000mm/s RMS 10Hz～1kHz; and for displacement, it ranges from 0.02～100mm equivalent peak 3Hz～500Hz and 0.001～100mm equivalent peak 10Hz～500Hz. In terms of frequency range, acceleration is 3Hz～1kHz, 3Hz～5kHz, 1Hz～100Hz, 3Hz～20kHz; velocity is 10Hz～1kHz, 3Hz～1kHz; and displacement is 10Hz～500Hz, 3Hz～500Hz. The device features both digital and bar graph display options, with a memory capacity of 1000 data sets. It provides AC output with a full-scale voltage of 1V and an output impedance of 600 ohms, as well as DC output with the same full-scale voltage and impedance. The interface is an RS232C serial port. The environmental temperature range is -20～70℃, <90％RH for the probe, and -10～50℃, <90％RH for the main unit. Powered by four AA batteries, the device can operate continuously for approximately 30 hours. Its dimensions are 168(W)×76(H)×35(D)mm.
The standard configuration of the VM-82 portable digital vibration meter includes the main unit (with batteries and case), a standard probe PV-57 (with cable and magnet), a communication cable, communication and management software, a dongle, an English manual, and a Chinese manual.
