English Introduction
The HS-5660A Precision Impulse Sound Level Meter is a portable acoustic measuring instrument with both digital and analog needle display. It can measure in different ranges and is characterized by its ability to accurately measure impulse sounds and short-duration noises, such as those from firearms, stamping machines, and explosions. Additionally, the HS-5660A can be combined with the HS5721 1/1 octave band filter or the HS5731 1/3 octave band filter to form a portable spectrum analyzer that is easy to operate.
In terms of technical parameters, the HS-5660A has a sound level measurement range of 30—138dB (A), 40—138dB (C), and 45—138dB (linear). Its frequency range is 10Hz to 20kHz, with frequency weighting options of A, C, and linear. The instrument features true RMS and peak detection characteristics, and it has three time weighting modes: fast (F), slow (S), and impulse (I), along with a maximum value hold function. Moreover, it includes an overload indicator that shows +10±0.5dB when the signal exceeds the full scale.
The HS-5660A is powered by four 1.5V LR20 high-energy batteries, and with a dedicated AC accessory, it can also be directly powered by 220V mains electricity for measurement. The instrument has an internal 1000Hz sine calibration signal, which can be used to calibrate the sensitivity of the instrument itself and the level recorders used in conjunction. Furthermore, it has both AC and DC output terminals that can be used with filters and recorders.
